Cadela Forca Chapter II - The Brotherhood

Carolina Bianchi is a Brazilian theater maker, performer, and writer living in Amsterdam. Her work moves between theater and performance, where theory and practice, as well as the personal and the political, are inextricably connected. Her performances originate from a perspective of crisis and discuss themes around gender, sexual violence, and (art) history, often based on personal and/or historical events.

She is the artistic director of the São Paulo-based collective CARA DE CAVALO, with which she recently created the Trilogia Cadela Força consisting of Chapter I: The Bride and the Goodnight Cinderella, which premiered at the Festival d’Avignon 2023. The Dutch Theater Jury named it one of the most impressive performances of the season. Carolina also received a Theo d’Or nomination for most groundbreaking stage performance for creating and performing it.
Chapter II: The Brotherhood premiered in 2025 at KVS for the opening of the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels. In addition to her artistic leadership at CARA DE CAVALO, Carolina has been a member of the artistic core of Theater Utrecht since 2025.
Her previous works include O Tremor Magnífico (The Magnificent Tremor, 2020), LOBO(Wolf, 2018), and Mata-me de Prazer (Kill Me of Pleasure, 2016). Other projects include We Do Not Comfortably Contemplate the Sexuality of Our Mothers for the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels (2024), and Percurso for the Fuori Bo Festival in Bologna (2023).
Since the premiere of the first chapter of the Cadela Força-trilogy, The Bride and the Goodnight Cinderella, the work has toured leading festivals and venues in Europe and Australia, receiving warm receptions from audiences and exuberant praise from critics.
