In recent years, Carolina Bianchi has repeatedly shaken the foundations of the theater world. With the first two parts of her Cadela Força Trilogy, she drew attention to the gruesomeness of sexual violence and its consequences (The Bride and the Goodnight Cinderella), as well as the complexity of a critical perspective on the mechanisms of male fraternity woven into theater history (The Brotherhood).
For these first two chapters, the Brazilian theater maker has received numerous awards and international acclaim. She now presents the final part of the trilogy: Cadela Força Trilogy – Chapter III: A Cordial Light.
This performance is a consciously disproportionate composition of sketches, notebooks, notes, and texts from other writers, including Brazilian author Hilda Hilst and poet Emily Dickinson. The work reveals the violent process of writing as a confrontation with the mystery of one's own sexuality.
In this piece, Carolina Bianchi appears as a subject in dissolution: she presents herself through various writing alter egos, which allow her to shape her fantasies, particularly the fantasy of writing itself.
