We want your visit to be enjoyable. Below, you'll find the most important terms and conditions for purchasing tickets and attending our performances. You'll find the full version of our Terms and Conditions in a PDF (in Dutch) at the bottom of these terms and conditions.
1. Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to everyone who purchases tickets for Theater Utrecht performances, both at our home base, De Paardenkathedraal and at other venues or festivals. Visitors who receive tickets through third parties are also bound by these terms and conditions.
2. Tickets and prices
Tickets are available through Theater Utrecht and its officially recognized partners. Prices include VAT but may exclude additional charges such as service or transaction fees. The ticket price printed or displayed at the time of purchase is binding. Tickets are non-transferable unless otherwise authorized in writing by Theater Utrecht. Unauthorized resale or commercial use of tickets is not permitted.
3. Changes and cancellations
Theater Utrecht reserves the right to change the performance schedule, time, cast or location. If a performance is canceled by Theater Utrecht, the ticket price (excluding service costs) will be refunded. No compensation will be provided for travel expenses, accommodation or other consequential losses. In cases of force majeure (such as extreme weather, government restrictions, or illness of key personnel), refunds may not apply.
4. Payments and confirmation
You can pay via iDEAL, credit card, or debit card. Cash payments are limited. Separate agreements and prices apply to business packages. Late payment may result in cancellation or additional charges.
5. Admission
Only the first person to present a valid ticket will be admitted. So please bring your ticket with you. Tickets cannot be exchanged or canceled unless otherwise agreed. If you've lost your ticket, please contact us before the performance.
6. Liability
We do our utmost to ensure everything runs smoothly. Theater Utrecht is not liable for any nuisance, inconvenience or damage caused by third parties, force majeure (such as weather conditions, strikes, or technical malfunctions) or the cancellation of a performance due to circumstances beyond our control.
7. House rules
Visitors must behave respectfully and follow the instructions of our staff. Bringing your own food and drinks or (domestic) animals is prohibited, as is taking unauthorized photos or recordings or disturbing or disrupting other visitors. Latecomers may be denied entry without a refund.
8. Privacy
We handle your personal data with care, in accordance with applicable laws. We use your information to process your order and (only with your consent) for our marketing activities. You can view or change your information at any time.
9. Complaints
Complaints about the performance or service must be submitted in writing within eight (8) days after the performance to info@theaterutrecht.nl. Theater Utrecht will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We're happy to work with you to find a suitable solution. Complaints about changes to the program, view, sound, or other visitors generally do not entitle you to compensation.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes that may arise will be submitted to the competent court in Utrecht.
