During the What You See Research residency, two artists immerse themselves completely in their artistic research for two weeks. For one time only, they open the doors to their studios, giving you the chance to get closer to the creative process than ever before.
Physical theatre maker Otto Calmeijer Meijburg researches improvisation and how it can be used as a tool for developing choreography. During What You See, they will try out new scores for the first time, with the audience playing an active role. A very first try-out—and you can be part of it!
Performer, dancer and choreographer Amira Al Rawi conducts in-depth physical research into combining hip-hop and flamenco. This research is in preparation for Majnun, a performance Amira will create with the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra in 2027.
