Ôskwanteklip
Non Creators Company in coproduction with Theater Utrecht

In a tiny seaside cottage, where the blinds no longer go up or down, live two elderly people: Ger and Gon. Every Monday, they harvest mussels from the water and the calluses from their feet. Everything goes exactly as it always has.
But when Ger one morning can no longer tie his shoelaces, absurd things start to happen. The seagulls suddenly sing like a choir of angels, Ger’s dentures come to life, and Gon turns into a mussel. Their home becomes too big, starts to crumble, is swallowed by the sea, and disappears. Their world flips inside out and upside down.
Ôskwanteklip is a colorful, visual, and humorous performance about an almost final phase of life and the longing to return home. Through mask play and music, the struggle with transience is revealed. With sharp humor and tragicomic scenes, we invite the audience to reflect on life, death, and everything in between.
After an acclaimed performance at the Tweetakt Festival, Ôskwanteklip will be performed this summer (2025) at the KinderParade in The Hague, Amsterdam, and Utrecht.
