We invite you to Der Lauf der Dinge on 29 September at Theater Utrecht: a conversation that opens up the artistic practice of Studio Julian Hetzel.
The programme is based on the ongoing research project Der Lauf der Dinge, a collaboration between Studio Julian Hetzel and theatre scholar Prof. Dr. Maaike Bleeker on the relationship between (political) thinking and theatre. Together, they trace, investigate, map, and question the movements of artistic thinking: how do ideas emerge, collide, transform and eventually materialise as theatre?
Borrowing its title from Fischli & Weiss' chain reaction, Der Lauf der Dinge follows the connections between thought and action, process and performance, politics and imagination. An invitation to enter the machinery of artistic research, where one question inevitably sets another in motion.
