45 year-old Maya believes she is Britney Spears and who is to say she isn’t? In his new drag therapy show, Indie Nile explores the stigma around mental illness by bringing his own version of Britney to life. Indie becomes Maya who becomes Britney in a tragicomedy about identity and the masks we wear in order to blend in and feel normal. Are some people really “mentally ill”? Or do we make them mentally ill by drugging them because we are uncomfortable with how different they are? Indie will answer all those questions… all while lip-syncing to Britney’s greatest hits. Oops, looks like she did it again.
