Het derde hoofdstuk van de Danteske trilogie over femicide
De afgelopen jaren heeft Carolina Bianchi de theaterwereld herhaaldelijk op haar grondvesten laten schudden. Met de eerste twee delen van haar Cadela Força Trilogy vestigde ze de aandacht op de gruwelijkheid van seksueel geweld en de gevolgen daarvan (The Bride and the Goodnight Cinderella), evenals op de complexiteit van een kritische blik op de mechanismen van mannelijke broederschap die verweven zijn met de theatergeschiedenis (The Brotherhood).
Voor deze eerste twee hoofdstukken ontving de Braziliaanse theatermaker talloze prijzen en internationale lof. Nu presenteert zij het slotdeel van de trilogie: Cadela Força Trilogy – Chapter III: A Cordial Light.
Deze voorstelling is een bewust disproportionele samenstelling van schetsen, notitieboeken, aantekeningen en teksten van andere schrijvers, onder wie de Braziliaanse auteur Hilda Hilst en de dichter Emily Dickinson. Het werk onthult het gewelddadige proces van schrijven als een confrontatie met het raadsel van de eigen seksualiteit.
Carolina Bianchi verschijnt hierin als een subject in ontbinding: ze presenteert zichzelf via verschillende schrijvende alter ego's, die haar in staat stellen haar fantasieën vorm te geven, in het bijzonder de fantasie van het schrijven zelf.
