Everything looks familiar, yet feels off. The body has returned home, but the mind hasn’t fully caught up. The body is here, yet memory moves on its own. A sound - too loud, too close. An accidental gesture. A stranger’s face. Ordinary moments begin to fracture, time folds.
pulling the trigger is a solo performance at the intersection of dance and physical theatre, created by Daria Titova and performed by Marko Šakić. The piece follows a soldier confronted with his own past – not being able to fully face or escape it. Through movement, text, and voice, the work unfolds as an encounter with memory, responsibility, and the weight of choices that cannot be undone.
Moving between control and collapse, rupture and softening, stillness and explosion, pulling the trigger asks what it truly means to “pull the trigger,” both literally and metaphorically, and whether we can ever understand the choices of those who do.
